Born in 1983 with cerebral palsy, Jonathan Smith’s doctors gave his parents a prognosis of doom and gloom. The boy would never walk, was nearly blind, wouldn’t talk, couldn’t eat, would probably not live to be 6 years of age and the list went on and on. His parents refused to believe that! God was Jonathan’s Healer! Many thousands of prayers have gone up to God to heal Jonathan, and God has heard!

In elementary school, “people kept praying for me” Jonathan said.

In middle school, he got his walker. What a glorious day that was! He had 4 years of physical therapy. He began WALKING in Middle School. Before that, Jonathan got around on his hands and knees by hopping, which got him wherever he wanted to go! But by his middle school years, he was Walking! Praise God!

He graduated from Tates Creek High School in Lexington, Kentucky, in 2003. This boy who the doctors said would never walk or talk graduated high school!

Jonathan found his niche in high school. He has always loved music and began writing songs during the high school years. He has been writing songs ever since. He enjoys singing whenever the opportunity presents itself. He is becoming a regular at Common Grounds Coffee House in Lexington, KY.

Everyone loves Jonathan because of his sunny outlook on life. He is an active member of Southland Christian Church.

He worked at the VA Hospital in Lexington for a long time.

His hobbies include video games, hanging out with friends at the mall, writing songs and performing music.

Jonathan is absolutely 100% proof that God is in the miracle working business today! He didn’t just heal people in “Bible times”. He still heals today.
